A Brief History

LaRue Enterprises is comprised of multiple family owned and operated businesses all located on historic LaRue Farms.  LaRue Farms is a seven generation family farm on this same land in upstate New York since 1774.  Originally the farm consisted of a blacksmith shop, tannery, sawmill, charcoal pits, tavern and the typical run of farm animals.

Today the farm family consists of three generations beginning with Albert and Linda LaRue, their son William, and his children Matthew and Crystal. The operations currently include the crop farm comprised of 230-250 acres of corn, hay, soybeans, wheat, buckwheat, barley and 75 acres of wood, a 60 head dairy replacement farm, a sawmill and firewood business and small equipment sales. The LaRue family also perfoms custom field work for local farmers, excavating, landscaping, trucking and hauling. In addition, several additional ventures are underway ranging from William's custom woodworking to supplying alternative retail stoves, Power Up, and Cold Fire.
